Vaccination against influenza
Influenza can give serious health problems, mainly to people with high risk for complications.
In the Netherlands registered patients with a medical indication are invited to get a free vaccination against inflluenza (the flushot). Patients with a medical indication according to Dutch rules are people older than 60 years of age, and younger patients with cardiac, pulmonary, renal diseases, diabetes or deprived immune systems.
The World Health Organization (WHO) gives information about influenza in this infographic.
If you do not have a medical indication, but you do want to receive a flushot, you can contact our receptionist/nurse for further information.
